Detox Weekend plus cake..

It was my niece's 9th month birthday so we celebrated it outside, particularly in Green Earth Cafe. If you're looking for someplace to eat without worrying about the carbs and fatty stuffs, visit Green Earth; it's just a small restaurant located somewhere in Concepcion Grande Villa that serves 'non-fatty foods' and is good for vegetarians or who are on detox. This was my second time to eat in
this place and it never failed my taste buds.
When you enter Green Earth Cafe it feels like you're having lunch in someone's backyard or front yard,  in my perspective it's like you're having lunch in a cabin having that refreshing feeling about the place. There's a garden when you enter and you will see a lot of herbs and veggies that was grown there.

Once you've ordered they will serve you some water with sliced lemon on it, i thought it was really refreshing. I ordered a rolled oats muffin which tasted so good, that type of appetizer is starting to make me full.

I took a few pics of what we ate:

this one is a Miso Soup with tofu cubes on it..

vegetarian style Bopis or Kandinga (no meat  only tofu and vegetables)

this one is spring rolls and Tofu cubes; i loved the tofu's because it's stuffed/compacted and it's really fresh (i think they're the ones who made it.)  Because most tofu's that we buy are airy on the inside once it is cooked.

aah yes..when i first came here this is what i ordered, they call it the Vegan Burger; i think it's tofu mixed with other herbs and veggies patty layered in lettuce, onions, and tomatoes, and humus. And i hated the Humus. The second time i ordered it, i got to like the taste than before; i guess it was just an unfamiliar taste when i tried it for the first time.

Shiitake Mushroom and onion with pesto greens quesadillas. Quesadillas are one of my favorite appetizers, they may look small on the picture i tell you it's not. it's about 3-4 inches wide and 2-3cm thick.

After that heavy but not so fatty lunch, we had cake for dessert (my niece's birthday cake that is covered in buttered icing, there goes my detox! hha)

We then visited San Bernardino in Calabanga, i wasn't able to take a lot of pictures it was really hot at that time.

We went to the restaurant only to know that no one is present even the cook. Someone came by and we just ordered some drinks that is quite refreshing too. We had the Camote Tops and the Tanglad juice.

that's all for today folks! hope you enjoyed reading my review of the places i visited recently :P
